Happily Ever After...

This past July, I gained a daughter when my son John married his soul mate. These two couldn't be more perfect for each other and I am over the moon excited for them!

That day has so many special memories for me. Beginning with my grandpup Foxy - the dog of honor - waking me up with an excited wagging tail and bouncing feet to the sparkler lit send off at the end of a beautiful day.

Sentimental details represented those that they hold dear and fit them to a T.

Getting to spend the entire day with my new daughter-in-law was so special. Her attendants were so much fun and the day was full of laughter. Of course there were leaky eyes too. Emotion threatened to overflow through our eyes every time we looked at each other but I think we managed to make it through the preparation stage with make-up intact!

Her mom, had the same leaky eye problem yet made it through the most touching moments with beauty and grace. I can see where her daughter gets it from!

Isn't she Gorgeous!!!

Now I'm not going to lie... I shot the ceremony with tears streaming behind the camera. I couldn't help it, and I didn't want to miss the shot. Made even more special by my/their Aunt officiating the ceremony and their custom vows to each other, I don't think there were many dry eyes.

Their wedding party was made up of people who have been there from day one. These people are their tribe, their family and they could not have imagined this day without them in it.

Like the rest of the day, the reception was filled with celebration, love and support from everyone in attendance. These two are so loved and respected by their friends and families. An evening filled with more laughter and tears of joy flew by and before you knew it, John and his beautiful bride Amanda were sent off to begin their married life together by shimmering sparklers, cheers and hugs.

All in all, it was a perfect day. Beautiful weather, a morning full of excitement and laughter, a personal and touching ceremony, followed by a celebration of the love these two share by the people that love them. One of my most favorite days ever.

John & Amanda, may the love and happiness you felt on your wedding day shine through the years!
